Karnataka HC: Community Service Instead Of FIR For Lamborghini Driver
Admin 10-04-2026 Hight Court Judgments

The Karnataka High Court said it may cancel the FIR against a Lamborghini driver accused of reckless driving, but only if he agrees to do community service like teaching traffic rules to children.

The Karnataka High Court considered a plea filed by a Lamborghini driver booked for reckless driving after a video went viral on social media. The FIR was registered by the police for rash and negligent driving.

During the hearing, it was informed that the driver had already paid fines related to vehicle violations, including issues with a modified silencer. Taking a lenient approach, the Court expressed willingness to quash the FIR.

However, the Court imposed a condition that the driver must undertake community service. It suggested that he could educate school children about traffic rules or contribute to society through activities like tree plantation.

This case highlights the Court’s balanced approach—focusing not only on punishment but also on reform and social responsibility.
